State of the School

State of the School

Dear Parents,

It is with a grateful heart that I extend greetings from Loudonville Christian School!

Loudonville Christian School is in our 59th year of Christian service to the Capital District. I am eager to see how the Lord will continue to shower His faithfulness on LCS over the next 50 years, or until He comes again.

As the Head of School, I am reminded daily of the passion and enthusiasm you hold for our school and the sincere desire to make this a successful and vibrant school which strives to cultivate “faith that overcomes the world” in each student. I remain so thankful for you, our LCS families, who partner with us as LCS continues to provide an excellent and spirit filled education, and to equip our students to be ready to be launched into the world.

The Bible says that the mind is the key to becoming conformed to the likeness of Christ and that once we become Christians we should be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). What our students do with their minds is important to the Lord. LCS is dedicated to help each student comprehend that their transformed, renewed mind begins with the new birth in Christ and progressively develops by academic and spiritual studies in which the Bible is central to learning and living. What an exciting privilege it is to voyage with your family in this eternal journey with your children!

As LCS begins our re-enrollment process for the 2019-20 school year, several thoughts come to mind. Most specifically, I have a sense that God desires to do some amazing things in the life of LCS as we go forward. The Lord has gathered an amazing team of dedicated faculty and staff, and an administrative team that has vision for capturing the hearts and minds of our students for the Lord, while seeking excellence in carrying out His plan. A Scripture passage that I have claimed in this regard follows: “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

As parents, the question begs to be answered: What does the Lord desire for my family? Each of you make a financial sacrifice in sending your child to our school because you believe in the life-changing importance of Christian Education. I know, especially during these unpredictable times, that your continued association with Loudonville Christian School can have not only a long-lasting impact on each student, but one with eternal implications as well.

All the glory goes to God as I am reminded that Loudonville Christian School:

•       Graduates students with an average of 20.5 college credits
•       Serves our local Capital District with over 5,000 community service hours
•       Maintains a healthy Endowment
•       Continues to be debt free... Praise God!
•       Moved to a Continuous Enrollment process in order to simplify re-registration

Our LCS School Board and I work diligently to keep our tuition rates manageable and accessible for our LCS families. LCS will have a tuition increase of 3% for the 2019-20 school year. This will result in an increase between $89 to $387 for the school year, depending on your grade level. LCS is aggressive in our financial assistance, and we desire to work with families to make our school an option for them. Our tuition is what pays for the quality of our programs, provides the salaries for our excellent faculty and staff, and allows LCS to enhance our educational curriculum.

Since LCS is a ministry of Loudonville Community Church (LCC), their financial partnership allows for LCS to charge less than the true cost to educate. LCC covers our utilities, provides maintenance support, and partners with us in prayer for our students! Thank you LCC!

Friends, my continued prayer for each of us associated with LCS is that as a school family we would:

PRAY that God continues to bless us,

PROMOTE LCS throughout the Capital District community,

PARTICIPATE in the life of the school on a daily basis, during special events and

PRAISE God for all that He is doing and will continue to do in the life of the school!

My pledge to you is that LCS will remain committed to academic excellence and a community that places a high priority on prayer and on honoring God in all that we do.

The Lord has His hand upon our school and we praise and give Him all of the glory!

In His Palm Together,

Katie Hills
